Heat Level: 5.5 out of 10 🔥

Blazing Citrus “Medium” Hot Sauce brings bright sweet heat to any dish. Made with grapefruit juice instead of vinegar, it delivers a clean citrus finish with a smooth serrano kick at a comfortable medium heat. Spoon it over tacos, grilled chicken, shrimp, crispy potatoes, eggs, or grain bowls, or whisk it into mayo or yogurt for an instant dip or dressing. Crowd friendly and full of flavor, it lifts rich foods and makes everyday meals pop.

Step one visual: crispy bacon strips, ready to be added to the turkey club sandwich.

1. Prep the Bacon and Bread: Cook the bacon until crisp (we recommend pan-frying in a black cast iron skillet or baking) and set aside. Toast all 6 slices of bread to a light golden brown.

2. Make the Spicy Spread (Optional): In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon of Blazing Citrus Medium sauce. This creates your spicy, balanced sandwich spread. If not using the sauce, simply use plain mayonnaise.

3. Assemble the First Layer: Lay three slices of toast flat. Spread the spicy mayo mixture evenly on one side of each slice. On the first slice, layer half of the lettuce, tomato, and season lightly with salt and pepper. Top with one slice of cheese (optional).

The fully assembled turkey club sandwich sliced into four quarters and held together by skewers, with a bottle of Blazing Citrus Medium sauce visible.

4. Complete the Sandwich: Place the second slice of toast (mayo side down) directly onto the first layer. Spread mayo on the top side of the middle toast. Layer with the sliced turkey and two slices of crispy bacon. Place the third slice of toast (mayo side down) on top. Secure the sandwich with wooden skewers, cut off the crusts (optional), and slice diagonally into quarters.

Tips & Variations

  • Toasting is Essential: Use a good toaster or a dry skillet to ensure your bread is properly toasted—this prevents the middle layer from becoming soggy and adds crucial crunch.

  • Cheese Swap: Use creamy, mild Havarti or Swiss cheese instead of provolone for a different melt and flavor profile.

  • Lettuce and Spread: For a lighter option, use light mayonnaise or mashed avocado for the spread, and spinach or mixed greens instead of just lettuce.

Other Users Suggest

  • Replacing Bacon: "I replaced the crispy bacon with 2 slices of thinly sliced deli ham to make it less greasy and easier for a quick, grab-and-go lunch."

  • Replacing Turkey: "I prefer roast beef, so I substituted the turkey with 4 slices of quality deli roast beef per sandwich. The saltiness from the beef paired really well with the spicy mayo spread."

Storage, Reheat & Freeze

  • Storage: Club sandwiches are best consumed immediately. If storing, keep the individual components (cooked bacon, deli meat, spread, vegetables) separate in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

  • Reheat: The only component that can be reheated is the bacon (crisp it up in the toaster oven). Do not attempt to reheat the assembled sandwich.

  • Freeze: Freezing is not recommended for any component of this sandwich.
